The Oracle development was designed to fit within the existing urban fabric of Reading and to make a significant contribution to the town.

The vision, developed by Haskoll, was to create a public space defined by the River Kennet and the new buildings and to establish a sense of place which would be of lasting value for the people of Reading. With this vision, a lively urban hub has evolved from what was previously a run down and inaccessible area of the town.

Haskoll were the architects from concept to completion for this 66,000m² retail development. This creation of a strong shoppers’ environment has acted as a focal point for a broad range of restaurant and leisure uses. This now established centre has set a high standard and continues to win awards.
