Haskoll wins “Architectural Gold Award” in China Residential Contest

Haskoll, an architects and design company, has been named the winner of 'Architectural Gold Award' in the 'China Residential Contest' which took place in Beijing on 26 October 2014. Peter Goldsmith, Chairman of Haskoll China, collected the award. 

The China Residential Contest is known as China's real estate 'Oscar' ceremonyin real estate. It has been held for 11 eleven years. A panel of judges made up of experts from CHINAASC and the Department of housing Housing construction Construction reviewed numerous entries before choosing selecting Haskoll as one of the winners. Judges were impressed by Haskoll's design on Changchun Kuancheng Wanda Plaza. Conceived as 'folded film', Haskoll embedds the cinematic culture of Changchun city into the design of the building by using dramatic and sculptural lightweight cladding. The people of Changchun now have a highly identifiable shopping and leisure centre at the heart of their city which resonates with their civic pride and has cultivates a strong sense of belonging.
