Haskoll attended "Henan - UK Industry Matchmaking Conference" with UK DIT Delegation in Henan

On March 22, the "China Henan - UK Industry Matchmaking Conference" was held in Zhengzhou. Zhang Min, Vice Governor of Henan Province, and Tom Duke, Deputy HM Trade Commissioner to China, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Mr. Henry Yang, Managing Director of Haskoll China, accompanied the delegation and attended the conference.

Zhang Min stated that Henan is an important birthplace of the Chinese nation and the Chinese civilization, as well as a major province in China's economy, culture, human resources, emerging industries, and modern agriculture. Henan and the UK have maintained a good relationship of economic and trade cooperation for a long time, and have achieved fruitful results. It is hoped that companies from both sides would take this matchmaking event as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of "dual carbon" technology, creative industries, cultural tourism, and other areas, and promote the deepening and solidification of information exchange and technical cooperation between the two regions. Henan will welcome British entrepreneurs with a more open attitude, a higher quality environment, and more efficient services, to share development opportunities and create a better future together in Henan.

Tom Duke stated that the cooperation between the UK and Henan in the business field has a long history and solid foundation. He hoped that more projects would be implemented in Henan in the future.

At the conference, more than 20 Henan local companies had industry exchanges and matching discussions with the delegation.

To strengthen economic and trade exchanges between the UK and Henan Province, the delegation led by Tom Duke visited Henan to explore cooperation opportunities in urban renewal, dual carbon construction, and cultural tourism development, etc. 8 leading British creative industry companies, including Haskoll, participated in the delegation, aiming to promote pilot projects in Henan for both Chinese and British companies.

On March 21, members of the delegation arrived in Zhengzhou. During the one-week visit to Henan, the delegation visited relevant departments and companies such asZhengdong New District, CCSED, Henan Investment Group, Henan Culture and Tourism Investment Group, and Luoyang Rail Transit Group, and conducted specialized industry exchange and communication with each unit.

The eight leading member companies of the delegation are:BRE, BSI, Haskoll, ImageMaker, Space Syntax, Savills, ZEDfactory and Immersive. The British companies represented by the delegation are the most professional and representative consulting companies that have gradually been established in the process of exploring the "high-quality development" of the UK over the past few decades, or even hundreds of years. These companies have rich experience in standard-setting, urban planning, land space planning, urban renewal and transformation, green building, property asset management and operation, as well as the cultural and creative fields that the UK is proud of.
