Beijing Huiduo Mall opening soon

Located at Huangchang Station on Subway Line 7 and adjacent to the core area of Beijing's CBD and the urban sub-center, the 130,000sqm Huiduo Mall is currently under construction and will have a grand opening soon.

Haskoll has been commissioned by the owner to upgrade and optimize the building's facade, plan and organize the interior commercial flow, as well as conceptually plan the square and roof garden landscapes.

A one-stop shopping experience in three dimensions

Huiduo Mall is a commercial mix-used project that integrates a fashionable member shopping MALL, boutique outlet + IP sports park, and a popular apartment. It covers nearly 20,000sqm of large-scale member warehouse supermarkets.

With the theme of " Peak Gathering • Benefiting the World", Huiduo Mall breaks with convention and uses a member system shopping model. Using unique business concepts and operational advantages, it creates a children's theme park exclusive to members, providing an optimal experience of learning, play, and ultimate enjoyment. The brand-new high-end cinema offers consumers an exclusive audio-visual feast. With world-renowned specialties gathered here, it creates a trendy and vibrant city that provides customers with a one-stop “Excellent. Enjoy. Happy“  lifestyle.

Modern and simple building facade

The design style of the building facade is mainly modern and simple, creating a commercial place with an atmosphere that is atmospheric and stable yet caters to the social and consumer needs of urban youth through the interweaving of building blocks.

The east and west directions of the building are the main commercial display faces, with the east side facing the planned subway station. The facade design scale is lively and close to human scale, displaying the commercial atmosphere through shops and storefronts. The second floor and above are slanted aluminum plate curtain walls, exhibiting a youthful, fashionable design concept through an active wall texture.

Eye-catching commercial entrance

The three commercial entrances highlight the architectural character through the interweaving of solid and void, minimal volume changes. The special translucent material focal point lighting at the upper left corner of the main entrance creates a visual highlight of the building in both daytime and nighttime while not being overly assertive. The interior breaks with traditional architectural styles and contrasts with the exterior facade by using a rough, wild industrial style.

Reasonable and feasible structural demolition and renovation

During the initial design phase, due to the completion of the original building's main structure, the designer made reasonable use of the original structure and optimally demolished and renovated the facade to match the new design's architectural language and hierarchy. This was done while also saving costs, achieving a well-planned roof eave shape, and making it an architectural highlight element.
