Industrial Heritage Building Retention and Renovation Research Camp Opened this Month!

Peter Goldsmith, Chairman of Haskoll China, is invited as the keynote speaker to participate in the “Industrial Heritage Building Retention and Renovation Research Camp” organized by Architectural Society of China and Technology Training Center of Architectural Society of China this month. The theme report is hosted on the theme of “Industrial Building Renovation and Contemporary Urban Renewal from an International Perspective”.

 

Introduction

Urban development is a process of continuous accumulation. Architecture is an important carrier of the historical context of the city. The superposition of architectural culture in different periods constitutes a rich urban history and culture. Industrial relics, such as old factories that once carried the important responsibility of industrial system development, witnessed the history of industrial development and recorded the imprint of the city.

As a Royal Registered Architect, Mr. Goldsmith has more than 20 years of experience in British and international architectural design covering a wide range of commercial mixed use, shopping centres and retail. He joined Haskoll in 1997 and established Haskoll Beijing in 2004. He has been responsible for hosting more than 30 national and urban projects, including the sustainable development of commercial real estate group projects in leading cities like Beijing and Shanghai - Evergrande Group, Wanda Group, Antaeus Group and Shimao Group.
