Haskoll attended Real Estate Architects Forum

2017 Real Estate Architects Forum was held in Shanghai on the 28th April, 2017. Dr. Zhen Yang, the Managing Director of Haskoll attended the event as one of the invited speakers. The guests included professionals from the Australian Embassy in China, Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects, Tontsen, Team+, Zhongliang Real Estate Group, Sino-Ocean Group, and Shanghai Construction Group; all of whom joined the debate on ‘Opportunities and Challenges in the Current Urban Renewal Agenda’. 

Dr. Zhen Yang, during the debate, stated that the dependency on vehicles is still on the rise and the trend results in various social and environmental problems, for example, air pollution, traffic congestion and low quality of urban life. Real estate designers, Dr. Zhen Yang added, should mitigate those negative impacts by implementing sustainable strategies such as improving public realm, human-scale spaces, humanised urban regeneration and reconstruction, reserving urban diversity and building highly efficient public transport network for all.
