Haskoll successfully held the “UCL Built Environment Club Event” in Beijing

In the evening of January 18th, 2016, the ‘’UCL Built Environment Club Event” was successfully held in Haskoll Beijing’s Designers Brand Office in Shimao Gongsan Plaza. The topic of this event is “City Dream: the direction of city development in China in the next 5 years”. Many Industry elites in architectural design and city planning, UCL Alumnus and partners attended this event. Medias including Beijing News, Sina Leju and Zhulong.com reported it. People gathered together to discuss the trend of Chinese cities development. 

As an internationally renowned architectural design company which is specializes in designing business buildings, Haskoll are always trying to attempt to new types of operation and advanced concepts of space, and Haskoll build the first Designers Brand Office in Beijing together with Shimao Company. 

Guests first entered to the reception area which located in the gallery; there was a watercolor exhibition of British famous painter Mr. Robert Goldsmith. There was also a German cellist live performance which attracted the guests. They finally got to the center of the venue through an ecological low carbon plants wall. 

Dr. Zhen Yang, the director manager of Haskoll, chaired the event. Mr David Cobb, UCL Bartlett Director of Business Development and Mr Peter Goldsmith, Chairman of Haskoll gave an exciting speech. We also invited Lin Hu, Director of Centre for Urban Studies, Tsinghua University Architectural Design & Research Institute and National Certified Urban Planner Haibo Zhu as guest speakers. They shared the experience of urban planning and answered the questions about cities development in China. The discussion of hot topics today brought many new ideas which made guests very excited.
