UCL Built Environment Club Reception at Haskoll

UCL Built Environment Club (Beijing) Reception was hold at Haskoll Beijing Office on the 1st of March, 2017.

UCL BEC (Built Envrionment Club) is a UCL Alumni Organisation, bringing together a network of alumni from The Bartlett and the UCL Department of Civil, Environmental & Geometric Engineering to create a world-class resource of expertise. UCL BECs annually host events and conferences across the world including: Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and Ecuador. 

As an international design consultancy, Haskoll’s research and education team maintains frequent communication with UCL as well as its Space Syntax Laboratory to underpin our market insight and maximise commercial value of the design projects. Haskoll host the launch of UCL Built Environment Club (Beijing) and its reception events in 2011, 2013 and 2016, foster closing partnership with UCL and the Bartlett.

The event invited all the professionals and the UCL alumni based in Beijing to discuss opportunities and challenges of ‘One Belt One Road’ Policy. Launched at 7pm and Dr. Zhen Yang, the Managing Director of Haskoll China, showed a big welcome to all the guests. Mr. David Cobb, the Director of Business Development of the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment at UCL introduced newly established UCL campus and recent development of the Bartlett. He also introduced two invited guest speakers of the event: Dr. Chenyu-Chang and Mr. Jiantuo Yu to further discuss the ‘One Belt One Road’ Policy with visitors. Q&A session was followed by the speech and all the alumni had great chances to communicate with guest speakers.
