Qingdao CGS Cinema Openning

Haskoll recently celebrated the opening of the latest CGS Cinema in Qingdao as part of the Mangrove Tree Resort World, Qingdao. The state of the art entertainment destination houses 8 screens with the latest MX4D theatre and a 480 seat IMAX cinema using the latest in laser projector technology and Dolby Atmos audio system. Visitors and hotel guests can utilisea contactless card system to gain entry to any screen at any time and several private rooms cater for more bespoke experiences that can combine movie, theatre and dining. The connection between the screens is through a 45m long dramatic cocoon dome, a unique design element specially created by Haskoll for this location. A steel interlaced skeletal structure supports a perforated mesh skin that provides a white background to the lobby but comes alive with concealed coloured lights and projectors. It provides an interactive canvas that allows the lobby to be also used for conventions and parties.
